On Monday, the 6th of December 2021, four women were beaten, stripped and dragged through Faisalabad Market on the accusation of theft. The four women were collecting solid waste when they entered a store to buy a water bottle. The store owner yelled at them and alleged that they were there to steal money and electronic devices. Hereafter, the women were beaten, stripped, and videotaped by four men for around an hour. They filed a complaint with the police, who registered a case against the four main suspects. They were charged under multiple sections of the Pakistan Penal Code and arrested. The videos further confirmed their involvement.
