HRC61 Oral Statement on the Situation of Women in Afghanistan
During the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on Afghanistan, Richard Bennet, at the 61st Human Rights Council session in Geneva, GHRD delivered an oral statement on the situation of women and girls in the country. The Taliban have enacted an institutional system of gender apartheid and the United Nations and international community must ensure that perpetrators are held accountable for this crime against humanity.
