Around the world, freedom of belief remains under threat. In Bangladesh, blasphemy allegations are increasingly used to justify mob violence, extrajudicial killings, and the systematic targeting of religious minorities. For more than twenty-five years, Global Human Rights Defence has worked to bring underreported human rights violations to the international stage, engaging with European and United Nations institutions at the highest levels. Global Human Rights Defence invites policymakers, civil society actors, human rights defenders, academics, and concerned citizens to take part in this critical dialogue. Join us at the international conference: Blasphemy Allegations, Mob Violence, and the Protection of Religious Minorities in Bangladesh, taking place on 24 January 2026, from 12:30 to 17:00, at Nusthuism in The Hague, Netherlands.
